Start Listening

A large national restaurant chain recently partnered with Kinettix to complete a comprehensive network infrastructure upgrade across thousands of locations nationwide. This multi-year project highlights how Kinettix’s expertise in IT field services and project management drives successful large-scale technology deployments.

Understanding the Client’s Needs

The restaurant chain needed a trusted partner to install structured cabling, network equipment, and related devices to support new kiosks, multiple points of sale (POS), printers, and other critical hardware. With thousands of locations to upgrade, the project demanded precise coordination, flexibility, and minimal disruption to daily operations. Additionally, the client required detailed site assessments to understand physical constraints and ensure installations could proceed smoothly.

Kinettix’s Comprehensive Approach

Kinettix will begin each site visit by coordinating closely with local site representatives and confirming arrival with the client’s central project coordinator. This clear communication ensures transparency and streamlined operations at every location.

To proactively address installation challenges, Kinettix has offered an optional pre-cabling site survey. In these surveys, skilled technicians will gather crucial information such as site access requirements, ceiling heights, cable run lengths, cable pathways, and the status of peripheral network equipment. This data, combined with photographic documentation, enables precise planning tailored to each site’s unique needs.

Our technicians will then install, terminate, test, and label up to twenty-six Category 6 cable runs per site—supporting kiosks, drive-thru POS stations, printers, and other network points. Kinettix will also install UPS devices to enhance power reliability and validate Epson printers to ensure operational readiness. Finally, printer and bump bar brackets will be installed to complete the setup.

Project Management That Delivers

Kinettix’s dedicated project management team will take full control of scheduling and logistics, providing the client with site schedules at least two weeks in advance to allow for adequate preparation. Over the 24-month project timeline, the team will ensure adherence to quality standards, manage out-of-scope requests transparently, and maintain ongoing communication to keep the client informed and confident in the project’s progress.

This project underscores Kinettix’s ability to provide specialized technical talent and robust project oversight—qualities that make us a trusted partner for large-scale, multi-site IT deployments.
